আমাদের কথা About us
A little Bengal by the Chamundi Hills
Bengali Association Mysooru (BAM) is a non-profit society of Bengali families who live and work in Mysuru. Professionals, students, retirees and their children keep the language, the food and the festivals of Bengal alive in Karnataka's cultural capital.
Our Club House in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage is the association's registered office and meeting place. For Durga Puja, volunteers turn a hired kalyana mantapa into a puja mandap. Our idols are made of mud and clay, and the pujas are funded by members' annual contributions, well-wishers and local businesses.
Beyond the festivals, we run blood donation camps and give regularly to old age homes and orphanages in the city.
Registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act. Run entirely by volunteers through an elected executive committee. Accounts are audited every year.
